A hydraulic elevator is a high-tech system that integrates mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. It can be divided into several relatively independent, yet mutually coordinated and cooperative subsystems.

Pump Station System
The pump station system consists of a hydraulic pump, an electric motor, an oil tank, and auxiliary components; its function is to provide a stable power source for the hydraulic cylinder and to store hydraulic fluid.

Hydraulic Control System
The hydraulic control system comprises check valves, integrated valve blocks, hydraulic control circuits, and other components; its function is to regulate the elevator's operating speed, receive input signals, and control the elevator's starting, running, and stopping operations.

Hydraulic Cylinder and Support System
The function of the hydraulic cylinder and support system is to directly drive the movement of the elevator car.
(1) Hydraulic Cylinder: Converts the pressure energy output by the hydraulic system into mechanical energy, driving the movement of the elevator car through the mechanical motion of a plunger.
(2) Support System: The mechanical components of the support system vary significantly depending on the specific method of support employed.

Guide System
The guide system consists of guide shoes, guide rails, and guide rail brackets; its function is to restrict the degrees of freedom of the elevator car's movement, ensuring that the car travels solely along the guide rails in a vertical (ascending/descending) motion.

Elevator Car
The elevator car consists of a car frame and a car body; its function is to directly transport passengers (or cargo).

Door System
The door system comprises car doors, landing doors, door operators, door locking devices, and other components; its function is to control the opening and closing of the landing entrances and the car entrance in accordance with instructions from the electrical control system.

Electrical Control System
The electrical control system consists of a control cabinet, position display devices, operating panels, and other components; its function is to control the elevator's operation, coordinate the functioning of various components, and display the elevator's operational status.

Safety Protection System
The safety protection system consists of safety gears, overspeed governors, buffers, terminal limit protection devices, and other components; its function is to ensure the safe and normal operation of the elevator and to prevent accidents.
