How Do I Identify My Escalator Step Chain?

Ecalator step chain is a core component of the escalator drive system. It is widely used in commercial escalators in shopping malls, airports, metro stations and other public places. Subjected to cyclic load and continuous abrasion, it needs full replacement once it reaches the end of service life. 9300AE is a popular step chain model in the spare parts market.

Many buyers may order the wrong replacement chain if only referring to the escalator nameplate. The most reliable way to confirm the correct chain is to measure key dimensions with a caliper. Before placing your order, please measure these parameters with a caliper:

✅ Pitch (P): Center-to-center distance between adjacent pins. The standard pitch of 9300AE step chain is 133.33 mm;

✅ Roller diameter (d1): Outer diameter of the roller;

✅ Roller thickness (h1): Axial width of the roller;

✅ Pin diameter (d2): Outer diameter of the connecting pin;

✅ Inner & outer link plate width (h2/h1): Height of inner and outer chain plates;

✅ Inner & outer link plate thickness (t/T): Plate thickness of inner and outer links.
